Paul Goodyear was born on 11/8/1967. His love of Disco got him inspired to go out and buy some turntables and a mixer and start mixing.
Paul started DJ’ing in Sydney in 1985 and to this day still does. He has played various residencies and guest spots in Australia and has played in San Francisco, Los Angeles and also on Fire Island.
Paul always had a love of playing Remix services and started doing his own edits on a 1/4" reel to reel tape player. He then discovered the joys of Digital editing after losing most of his hair at the frustration of cutting tape!
His first re edit appeared on Rhythm Stick and then Direct Hit (other work included Hot Tracks, Discotech, Eurotracks and Ozz Mix).
Paul started his own remix Service in 1995 called Ace Remix with good friend and business partner James Fraser . Ace closed it’s doors in 1999 after putting out 24 issues and 2 best of’s. By the time Ace closed its doors, Paul had over 200 releases on remix labels.
Paul has now moved on into full scale production putting out his own tracks and remixing other artists. The latest remix is Taylor Dayne’s comeback song How Many getting a release in the United States.
