Glenn Cattanach began his mixing career in 1984.  He teamed up with Lexington Kentucky DJ’s Greg Lee and Jeff McKeehan and they collectively created HOT TRACKS 1984 Top 40 Medley. This was followed up with The 1984 Best of Hot Tracks Medley and in late 1985 the Best Of 1985 Top 40... Octomnipent Zeitgeist Medley.  Glenn moved to Louisville Kentucky in 1986 and continued to work for HOT TRACKS.  In addition Glenn has done work for Prime Cuts, Rhythm Stick, Masterbeat and Razormaid!.  Glenn is one of the few outside editors/mixers to have his work appear on Razormaid!.

Over the period of his editing - mixing career Glenn has created over 250 single song and medley mixes. Some of the highlights of Glenn’s work are the Madonna Medley Into A Commotion, The Go Go’s Medley This Is The Go Go’s, the Jody Watley Medley Looking For A New Medley mixed with Glenn Bennison and Michael Runge and the definitive Pet Shop Boys Medley This Is The Pet Shop Boys (all for Hot Tracks). Glenn had done all of his mixes on 1/4 inch reel to reel tape and in 1992 Glenn changed to Sound Tools digital editing system for Macintosh. Glenn continued his regular work until 1994. Since then he has occasionally appeared on Hot Tracks Hot Classics and The Edge series.

Glenn has worked with various DJ’s throughout the United States on mixes and medleys. They include Greg Lee, Jeff McKeehan, Michael Goldman, Steve Jaffe, Ben Jones, Michael Runge, Glenn Bennison, Chris Racine and Jim Thias. Interesting to note that with all of Glenn’s success with editing, mixing and medleys he has never been a working club DJ. He always preferred to be behind the tape recorder or computer, not behind the turntables.
