Steven puts the shine on "Wax The Van" by Lola.  Jose "Animal" Diaz tells J.M. Silk "Let The Music Take Control".

Your dance floor will shine when you play Lola's "Wax The Van".  This is one of the hottest funk-groove records to come out in a long time.  "Wax The Van", is on one of New York's hottest independent labels, Jump Street Records.  This sparkling song was written by Lola Blank and Arthur Russell, and produced by Bob & Lola Blank.  Taking advantage of four different mixes, Steven has created a special club mix with an easy intro, an exciting break, and shinning surprises along the way.

Ya know, if Jose "Animal" Diaz edits it, you're gonna like it.  Animal's pick this month is J.M. Silk's "Let The Music Take Control" on RCA Records.  J.M. Silk recently appeared on Disconet (Volume 9 Program 2) with "I Can't Turn Around".  "Let The Music Take Control" is already controlling its way over the airwaves and dance floors.  This cut was written by Steve Hurley & Keith Nunnally, and produced by Steve "Silk" Hurley, Larry Sturm & Phil Balsano.  So slip this one on and let "Animal" take control.

The long awaited encore appearance of the Disconet Chorus & Orchestra's "Original Cameo Parkway Medley".

The Original Cameo Parkway Medley first appeared on Disconet in 1980 (Vol. 3, pgm. 5).  Since we have had so many requests for this unavailable treasure, we thought you might enjoy a classsic re-run.

These six songs made the Cameo-Parkway label in Philadelphia grow from a regional label to one of international prominence in the late 1950s and early 1960s.  To make these hits sound at home on the dance floor, Capt. Mike Wilkinson put together the "Disconet Orchestra and Chorus" with help from drummer Jimmy Bralower and bass player Rick Pascual.
