ZZ Top gets down with a special Disconet extended edit of their new dance record "Velcro Fly".
ZZ Top is at their dancin' best on this sensational remix of "Velcro Fly". One of today's hottest bands, ZZ Top's current 1986 "Afterburner Tour" concerts have now been attended by over two million fans as the tour winds down on the West coast. "Velcro Fly", the fourth single from the "Afterburner" LP on Warner Bros. Records has been given that magic Jellybean touch and is ready to make your dance floors burn. We've extended the intro and break to make the velcro fly even more. Highlighted by the vocals and the wailin', soulful guitar of Billy Gibbons, the song offers the perfect blend of that special ZZ Top rhythm and percussion. As the song says… "do the 'Velcro Fly'!"

Steven Von Blau does a J.O.B. to "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent" by Gwen Guthrie. "Los Ninos Del Parque" by Two Of China gets a hot mix.
Gwen Guthrie's new Polydor 12", "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent", from the LP "Good To Go", puts the padlock on the summer of '86. Topping the R&B and Dance charts, this powerhouse record just might make Gwen Guthrie a cross-over artist, which is surely long overdue. Gwen wrote and produced the tune. One side was mixed by Gwen's comrade at arms, Larry Levan, with the flip side mixed by Mark Berry. This special Disconet version will do the J.O.B. for your floor.
Two Of China is another new local group from Frankfurt Germany. "Los Ninos Del Parque" is their first 12" on Westside Records. Tella, who also produced Moskwa T.V.'s "Generator 7/8" (Disconet Vol. 8 #8), produced this song with Ra-Hen. Ricardo Hernandez supplied the vocals to this powerful hip hop/funk record which was recorded and mixed at Dynaton Studios. This cut will really add fire to your hot August dance floor.

"New Positions" by Prince gets a royal remix from The Palace by Allen Perada. Smooth talker Colin says come on and "Touch Me" and dance with me.
"New Positions" is from Prince's lastest Warner Bros. album, "Parade", which is also the "soundtrack" LP for Under The Cherry Moon. Allen Perada, who spins at The Palace in L.A., has taken this all too short album cut and turned it into a sizzling club version.
Colin returns to Disconet with a high energy cover version to The Doors classic "Touch Me". Ed Terry produced and recorded at Ed Terry Sound in E. Northport, Ct. Raul gave the final touch to this seductive cut.

Madonna returns with a new look, sound, and mix with "Papa Don't Preach". "Dial My Number" by Back Bag gets a Phil E. Jones (305) Mix.
Madonna is the ultimate proof that the club circut has the power to generate a legend. "Papa Don't Preach" is the second single from her third Sire Records album, "True Blue", which is burning up the charts. With a new look, sound, and marriage (to Sean Penn), Madonna has also taken on more control of her work. Madonna co-produced "True Blue" with Stephan Bray and Patrick Leonard and co-wrote all nine cuts on the album including "Live To Tell", the album's first hit single and theme song from Sean's film, "At Close Range". This exciting Disconet edit will get your floor into the groove.
"Dial My Number" by Back Bag created such excitement as a German import that Metric Records has picked it up for domestic release. This energetic Euro-pop tune was produced by Anthony Monn and written by Pegoraro & Hackett. Phil E. Jones, the master mixer at WHQT/Hot 105 Miami, has given us a super remix of this song.
